Empowering Communities in The Hudson Valley

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and what better space to support. Mercadito Navideño is the brainchild of Susie of the Latinx Project. It is an annual makers market, creating space for Latine artisans in the Hudson Valley.
The yearly event includes fun workshops from vendors, activities, and entertainment.
We sat down and talked to Susie about she created this space and wants us to Shop Small Biz this holiday season and beyond. Why it’s taking place in Poughkeepsie, NY, and not in New York City.
We want our communities to view themselves as makers & creators but also be financially empowered. To make an impact in our communities and buy from our communities this Holiday season but even more so to remind others in their suburban + rural communities to CREATE opportunities in your own communities.
We hope you’re inspired to support your local businesses, tag us on instagram, and twitter when you listen to this episode and share it with your friends.
